The Challenge
Bandhej wanted to migrate from Magento to Shopify to simplify operations and reduce maintenance, without changing the existing design or disrupting the familiar shopping experience for loyal customers.
A key complexity was implementing accurate GST slab logic, which Shopify does not natively support, along with handling migration limitations around metafields and blog data.
Our Solution
We recreated the entire storefront on Shopify to closely mirror the original Magento experience, ensuring a seamless transition for customers.
Custom GST logic was implemented to accurately apply category and price based tax rules, while bespoke workflows were used to migrate complex data that standard tools could not handle. The move to Shopify also eliminated server management and reduced ongoing technical overhead.
The Outcome
Bandhej is now live on Shopify with the same trusted user experience, accurate GST compliance, and a significantly simpler admin workflow. The brand benefits from improved performance, stability, and full operational independence, without any compromise on design or functionality.
